Did Hopkins just supplant Mayweather, Jr as "best of his era"?

That's a key factor in my wanting to place Bernard at #1. He's never been hurt, cut, hasn't been knocked down in 14 years, and nearly all of his losses are questionable in the eyes of many fans and experts, minus his debut and Jones.

    Hopkins
    Jones
    Mayweather

how do you define era? if era is the past 20 years, 90s and 2000s then roy AND b-hop surpass mayweather as the best of the era....

The weight jumps are equivalent...and may actually favor PBF.

Yes, that Toney win is the signature win. AWESOME performance. Toney was #1 p4p at the time. But people may forget that Corrales was #3 p4p when Floyd beat him.
Do you like having rugburn on your knees all the time?

Imo I would place Mayweather above Bhop. His record is cool but Tito Trinidad, DLH even Pavlick moved up a good amount in weight to fight him.

a Split decision to a past his prime overrated 35 years old DLH. Wow That makes you one of the greatest? Cotto,Margarito, Paul William and (maybe) Clottey the would had KO DLH under the same circumstances, Thats why DLH is picking on Pacman now!

If we measure other fighters with your standards then Mosley deserve to be the greatest cuz he also started a LW but beat a prime DLH Twice!

How the hell is Clottey going to KO Oscar when Tito failed??? Did you really score the Oscar - PBF a SD, Mayweather clearly won that fight

Not saying i agree wit everything he said but Oscar IS alot older and not the same guy anymore, he has since been stopped and dont have the same desire he had back then

To me Mayweather is in the 2000's era
Hopkins is part of the 1990's era which Roy jones is the best of.

                      90's
                      Jones
                      Hopkins
                      Holyfield
                      Oscar
                      Lewis

                      2000's
                      Mayweather
                      Pac
