170 is not Pavlik's weight.. He would destroy Hopkins at 160

No way. If this was at 160, it would have been the same exact outcome. Stop it.

Pavlik is still a great young talent. He will come back at middleweight and dominate like he was doing.A loss now is better than a loss later.I hate when people say dumb S***.the same thing people are saying about Cotto.

You have to wonder what Taylor is thinking right now. He has 2 very close wins, but yet two very clear losses to the man who was just dominated by the man he beat. Not only did Hopkins dominate Pavlik, he also beat Winky Wright, who Taylor got draw with. Very interesting.

That's why i'm a firm believer that styles make fights.. just cuz one man is fighting someone who has already lost to someone that he beat doesnt mean that he's gonna win

Taylor picked Hopkins to win, so he is probably thinking, "Ha, I was right!"

Seriously though, it just goes to show that styles make fights, or more accurately, one fighter's ability to expose the others' flaws is what makes fights.

Taylor was able to expose Hopkins inactivity by being the more aggressive figher; Pavlik wasn't.

Pavlik was able to expose Taylor's poor defense and conditioning by coming forward and outpunching him; Hopkins wasn't.

Hopkins was able to expose Pavlik's slow speed and simplicity by using footwork, angles, and lateral movement; Taylor wasn't.

Taylor could stand to learn a lot from Hopkins' performance tonight.

Against all rationale, Hopkins looked like a younger fighter against Pavlik than he did Taylor. Sharper, more aggressive, and better focused. This Hopkins would have beaten Taylor decisively instead of giving away the early rounds.
