Against all rationale, Hopkins looked like a younger fighter against Pavlik than he did Taylor. Sharper, more aggressive, and better focused. This Hopkins would have beaten Taylor decisively instead of giving away the early rounds.

Hopkins himself said he was able to capitilize on his speed advantage against Pavlik, which is what helped him win the fight. He didn't have that advantage against Taylor. Styles make fights, and the primary reason "this Hopkins", as you put it, looks like a different fighter than the Hopkins that lost to Taylor, is because of who he was fighting.

There is nothing that Pavlik could do to offset Hopkins's movement and defense... If he had it, we would have seen it, for at least some of tonight.

Bull****, weight had nothing to do with it. He was eating healthy and not draining himself for this fight. If anything it helped him.

Lets not act like Pavlik is a small 5'9 guy who needs to stuff himself in order to make 170. The guy still had to lose weight to get to 170, not gain any.
