I can't see what Hopkins would do differently?

He fought his best fight to beat Calzaghe. As most who have seen Calzaghe fight for than 3 fights, to beat him, I think you let him lead off. If you take it to him unless you have significant handspeed, he'll just spoil you all night long, and stop you from getting anything off. Pick your pockets take your lunch money, your credit card and your housekeys, and mug you.

If Hopkins comes forward, we have 12 rounds of greco Roman wrestling because he won't allow Joe to get off either.

hmmmmm maybe this rematch lark is a **** idea.

depends on if the judges are scoring air punches like the first fight.

Calzaghe won the split decision due to workrate rather than effective punching. Even if it's the exact same fight, down to the most intricate details and every single punch thrown mirrors the first fight, with a different set of competent judges Hopkins could win the SD. It was one of those close fights where you'd hope a rematch might establish a true winner. Some fights need 24 rounds, some 36..

I agree, once he worked Hopkins out in the mid rounds it was game over for Hopkins.

Easy win for Joe. He cannot fight this bad twice.

If Hopkins manages to perform the way he did against Pavlik, he wins IMO.
