His stock goes up because of a dreadful performance and controversial win over Hopkins?

    ...right.

Guys, this was a different Bernard. Older, yes, but BOLDER and much more motivated than the Slappy fight.

Does it occur to that thick skull of yours that maybe Calzaghe had something to do with BHOP not being able to fight his fight?

Maybe Calzaghe is a bad matchup against Bhop, maybe their skillsets clashed in a way that Bhop and Pavliks doesn't? Maybe Bhop was able to dominate Pavlik because Pavlik has a very limited skillset compared to Calzaghe. Maybe Calzaghe's gameplan didnt allow Bhop to do what he wanted to do like he did against Pavlik.

Bunch of idiots in here saying that this version of Bhop would have beat Calzaghe. Calzaghe beat Bhop already you freaking morons.

Hopkins in his post fight interview for the first time seemed to give a little credit to Calzaghe. While he still maintains it was a controversial decision, he said something along the lines of "Styles make fights and I wasnt able to perform like that against Calzaghe."

Objectively, I suppose. It's hard to argue that Calzaghe won't look better (on paper) after the outcome of tonight's fight. The thing is I still remember the Calzaghe v. BHop fight pretty clearly, and I thought Joe looked like a flailing amateur for pretty much all twelve rounds. CompuBox gave Joe credit for landing 232 "punches." In reality, he didn't even land 23.2. Like a lot of folks who saw that fight, I wasn't terribly upset or concerned about the official decision. Hopkins made it pretty clear who the better fighter is.

It's impossible for you to ever give Calzaghe credit, isn't it? That's very weak on your part.
