I think Mayweather would have no issue making lightweight as he isnt even big for a light welter to be honest and he always stayed in shape.

Lightweight and below he was a monster he was legendary... at light welter and welter he didnt face the most dangerous fighters, I mean in the Hatton case why didnt he face him a light welter?? Henry Brussels, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir?? When he could have faced Hatton, Witter, KT, Cotto, Mosely? But then again RJJ didnt necessarly face the best and OScar didnt either to be honest so Mayweather above his best weights has done the same, he brilliant boxing skills have taken him to weight levels above where he shoudl be...

I agree people like Margarito would be way too big, as would paul williams, I would love to see him face Manny and JMM!!

He went up to chase De La Hoya and the millions, so I don't blame him. But 147 is not his weight class.
