  • What's wrong with Mayweather wanting to fight guys his own size?

He only moved up to welter and light middleweight to get the big money matches. Now that he's 'retired' you can tell he's been shedding pounds and would probably be able to make 135 and 140. I believe he will move to 135 and fight Marquez and Pac (not that they're as large as floyd, but they will make him a lot of cash. while at 135 he will also find some great fighters his size to face). Why do fans try to shame floyd for not wanting to fight guys who have a large size advantage?

when RJJ moved up tto heavyweight no one expected him to fight the largest heavyweights. He just took on Ruiz and moved back down. Jones' situation is very similar to Floyd's yet Floyd's the only one that gets crap for it.

My point is that Floyd is ducking Margarito and will probably move back down to 135 or 140 and some people might call this a ***** move. Do you guys think it is?

no one gives a **** if he fights guys his size. only that he fights the best out there in whatever division he's gonna fight in. he's not expected to fight the largest, he's expected to fight the best. What's wrong with expecting Mayweather to fight the best?

He fought the best before welter, sure. But to be considered pound for pound best you have to prove that you're the best in whatever division you're in. Mayweather did not do that.

Great post, but how do you really determine who is the best??

He did fight the best out there Donkey.

Tony just was not the best out there..nor was little Jotto.

              Oscar at 154 > Tony..Cotto

Hatton was a fight EVERYBODY wanted to see.Now after Floyd KO'd him..Ricky is written off like NOBODY wanted to see him fight Floyd.

It's not Floyd's fault Arum didn't let his punching bags loose to get embarrassed.

Arum could have made Floyd/Margarito-Cotto but he didn't..and you haters put it all on Mayweather.

At least Floyd manned-up and gave Castillo an immediate rematch..Look at the way Tony is dealing with Williams.

Hold that mexican to the same standards you hold to Mayweather.

              Don't be a hypocrite.

The WBO had to FORCE Tony into fightinging Williams or else strip him...and you got nerve to ****-talk Floyd.

              **** outta here.

he did before he moved to welter. screw his stint at welter. that was just moneygrubbing floyd cashing in on the success he had at the lower weight classes. The real Floyd was at 130-140 and that's where he belongs. he should go back there and pwn the best

Am not accusing Mayweather of ducking even at 147, IMO baldomir was the top welterweight Champion when Mayweather faces him, Before that Judah was rated the number 1 guy when Mayweather signed to fight him.

Thats why i asked 2501 how do you determine who the best is?
