I watched Frank Bruno once, doing about 200 or something. While he did his push ups, his trainer pressed his forehead down. I'd never seen it before, and almost fainted by how hard he worked to achieve success. Keep goin' with your training, I'll bet you make 200 if you go for it![/QUOTE]
The GREAT GAMA, the most famous wrestler in the world, used to do about 2,000 push ups each morning, along with many other calisthenics. He was only 5'7", and weighted about 200lbs of solid muscle. He wasxwrestling until a very adb]vanced age, was Never beaten, not even "for show" like the present crappers. It was beneath his dignity.

He was avoided by most of the top wrestlers, and the few top guys he managed to get into the ring he beat in mere seconds. Look him up on the internet, I remember that the RING did a long feature on him many years ago, which i hope I have around somewhere, which got me interested in him.

come on man. haye's chin is much worst than povetkins and he's still untested at heavyweight. povetkin has descent power and hits a hell of a lot harder than any cruiser that amost stopped him. I wouldnt be surrised if he blitzed haye out in the first couple rounds. hell,,we dont even know just how haye's power will carry up. knocking out tomato cans at heavy proves nothing

Unless you are very fit, and have huge back muscles along your spine, situps are risky.
You can burst a disc that way,......believe me.......

Our Eastern European heavyweights are stronger, tougher, hungrier and have the true will to win...we will continue dominating the heavyweight division for a very, very long time.
He certainly shouldn't have been puking, since he should have had nothing in his stomach by fight time. Maybe he sneaked some grub, and got hit in the wrong place, or the energetic moving around brought it up. I remember that happened to me in the middle of a rugby match, and I only had a very thin sandwich.

lol Povetkin can beat any heavy weight but the klitschos, only a white person would say that, Povetkin is really overrated, Povetkin is gonna get ktfo by vlad and everybody knows that. Klitscho fans love to over hype there opponents.

A Russian bear can lick a Ukrainian ***** any day of the week. All Povetkin has to do is learn how to throw an overhand right. Good bye Klitschko, been nice knowing you!

I must apologize to you and Gridiron, because i meant push ups. I can't do more than 50 in one set, but i can definitely blow out some sit ups though. They are the easiest workout for me. I don't do sit ups, i do crunches. They are better for your abs and the burn is better. They are also better for your back where as sit ups feel like hell. When you feel that burn, then you know that you are doing them right.

For a lot of us on this forum, English isn't our mother tongue (me, for example ... our should it be "I"?) Instead, we happily practise Don Kinglish (isn't he famous for inventing new words). Push ups, sit ups or any ups and downs, for us Don K's () it's hard at times to know which is which. You talked about push ups, I answered by talking sit ups. edgarg made it right and spread wisdom by saying 'take it easy' with sit ups. I have my own, painful experience of not doing that.

I dont know what you mean? Poavtkin is was a gold-meddalist and is mandatory, hes an talented, undefeated young heavyweight. Hes one of the best already. He will give Wlad a harder time than Austin, Ibragimov, Thompson or Brock.

Dimitrenko would have a better chance of beating Wlad.
