      This woman in the video puts her legs on the table when she does them, but either way it really doesn't matter. She does them right though.

      You can work the bottom of your abs by doing leg raises. They are like crunches, but you are bringing your legs up and bending into it.

      Thank you very much, I now recall that we used to do something similiar when I was boxing, during the calisthenics period. That was to lie flat on our backs with both hands behind the neck, and in that position sit up and touch our heads to our knees. This must have given us terrific stomach muscles, but i accepted this as normal, and don't recall if I had bands of muscle across my front or not, but was never bothered by a body punch. It took quite a while to be able to do properly. I used to do about 20 or so at a stretch. Then we also had an exercise where we would raise our heads and legs(feet) at the same time in a "V" and touch our toes.

      Later on in life, I would put my feet under the sofa and then do sit-ups. That's what "did me in".
