Are you sure Juanma's not Thai? He seems to have this preference for patsies.

I would really like to see JuanMA against fighters that can truly test him. How would he respond in the later rounds without having to depend solely on his power, IF his power dies down. Can he switch strategies effectively, outbox and create opportunities, sustain a productive work rate without losing huge amounts of stamina that can eventually leave him drained in the late rounds.

These questions should be answered before a Vazquez fight. We all know that Izzy is a warrior and that he's been in these types of wars before, so it makes sense to have JuanMa in these types of pressure/decision making situations to see how he would react to it.

I know he wants these types of fights, I just hope they happen.

                Pa'lante JuanMA!

                  Why In NY???

Why Should Vasquez Fight Juan Manuel in NY. Vasquez is the champion and the most known. In that case he should fight him on the eve of mexican independence day Sep 15th In Los Angeles. Before even thinking of Vasquez he should try to make a fight with Marquez and depending on the result start talking about a Vasquez fight.

I think the reason would be because Vazquez probably has a big enough following to shore up support regardless of where they go in the US.

Lopez does not have that big of a name right now, and the way to maximize his contribution to the purse is to get every Puerto Rican on the planet to go to the fight in NYC on the eve of the Puerto Rican parade.

That's why Cotto always fought there on that weekend... to maximize the amount of support he could bring to the fight.

Look! first off all. cotto was the champion, was and still is a bigger draw than Margarito and he still went to vegas to fight. Now. it doesnt matter who is champion and this and that. You go anywhere anytime and win no matter what. since juanma is only know in the east coast and Vazquez is well known there to, is better fnancialy, for the fight, cuz most non boxing fans in the west coast dont know Juanma yet!!!!!!
