Holmes still payed years later when he was inducted into the hall of fame. He was inducted in the hall of fame but, i don't recall any other big time boxer being inducted with him. As usally theres a few bit time boxers, names, that are inducted at the same time.

What surprises me is how much Holmes struggled with Ken Norton. Holmes claims he could have beaten Ali earlier then he did(may be true) but why then did he strugle so much with Ken Norton? I know styles make fights. But Ali was also a boxer and Norton was always a slugger and I recall in them fights (alivnorton) Ali kept the fight simple. The NortonHolmes fight was a classic brawl -many people say.

You could make the case that Norton beat Ali 3 times. Most believe he won atleast two of them.

Holmes performed more impressively against Norton than Ali ever did IMO.

If Im not mistaken he also fought with a torn bicep muscle. Can anyone back that up for me?

Peter Marciano said his family was relieved now that Holmes had lost. They were very happy and Holmes was very angry having lost that fight.

Holmes apologized for his statements afterwards. He never tried to justify it.

Reality doesn't fit Tunney's agenda.
