This is a 50/50 fight at best for Tyson. Probabaly 65/35 in Wlad's favor is the sharp eye's most honest guess. Tyson doesn't match up well here.
I have heard you say this many times i am not sure why, you have seen most Wlad fights and even you must see the holes in his game, He doesn’t bring his punches very quickly after throwing them he is open to counter right hands, has poor footwork and little to no upper body movement, Tyson would come in slipping Wlads jab and get on the inside and **** to wlads body which would be an open target as he is so vertical. I would bet my money on a Tyson KO. Against Vitali it would be a closer fight but i still see Tyson winning a clear cut UD. The klits have never faced anything like Tyson where as Tyson has faced several fighters with similar styles to the Klits.

Tyson never did anything for me. I'd say either Klitschko beats Tyson, to big ,to strong. Although Tyson does have a punchers chance.

In order to beat Mike Tyson, you need 5 basic criteria:

1: durable chin: Tyson is going to land strong shots no matter how tight your defense is.

2: good defense: a fighter has to limit the volume of big shots he takes

3: enough power: a fighter has to keep Tyson honest

4: endurance: take Tyson into the later rounds when his power is diminished

5: confidence: Tyson never beat a guy that was unafraid

        Klits may have criteria 3 & 4, but not 1,2 & 5

Klits would be overwhelmed almost immediately, without the chin and defense to remain upright. He matches up better against less aggressive, less powerful fighters in which he can find ways to beat. He doesn't have a swiss-army-knife of boxing tools to cope with different situations against different fighters.
One important thing-if a heavyweight has any chance of surviving against Tyson.circa 86-88,he has to know how to clinch.I suppose this is an aspect of defence. You may criticise the standard of the heavyweights,in Tyson's day,all you want;but at least all the Mitch Green,Tucker and James 'Bonecrusher' Smith were capable of putting Tyson in a hold and surviving to the end of their fights.

Who knows what grief it may have saved Wladimir-and for that matter Vitali- if they had learnt how to execute this basic skill, early in their careers?

          Well thats a first!
U can criticisze his lack of quality opponents but his style, technique and tenacity were surley impressive.

I think he could KO Wlad early, Vitali has a very good chance of beating based on his size (Tyson found bigger heavier opponents draining), and his chin and boxing skills.

I think cuts may be a major issue.
If Tyson works well on the inside without Vitali tieing him up, those big hooks could cut Vitali to shreds.

Tyson used to scare the **** out of his opponents, I could imagine Wlad almost ****ting him self before the fight to be honest he is not mentally strong when put under pressure. I still have the vision of Wlad crumbling under the pressure that Brewster put on him. As for Vitali he is a much tougher fighter but Chris Bryd was able to back him up i would imagine Tyson would be able to as well.

I'm interested what was the best body-puncher the Klitschkos faced and how they neutralised that attack ?
How strong are their infighting skills?
If they could not hold how would they stop Tyson from throwing combinations, after moving inside off a jab or a left hook?
If they did decide to hold, for most of the fight, how would they get the decision?

True! Seeing the Klitschkos box is like watching Rudolf Nureyev and Margot Fonteyn in Swan Lake.
Tyson's fights were like two lowland gorillas mating on a wildlife documentary.

                    You're a dumbass

Vitali was only backing up against Byrd because his arm was literally falling off

Vitali beats Byrd 99 times outta 100

Prime Vitali KO's Prime Tyson for sure

Wlad vs Prime Tyson could go either way, but I'd lean towards the bigger, stronger technically superior Wlad.

If people are going against Tyson on the basis of him circa 1995-96 ,I can agree with your assessment. But when we are talking about prime Tyson,I'm thinking about the 86-88 version.
