Is mma more brutal and damaging to the body than boxing?

MMA fighters take alot more short term damage like cuts, broken bones.
Boxers have more long term damage like Brain damage etc.

More cuts and broken facial bones with MMA, far more damage in boxing because of heavier gloves (mass), including concussion, internal injuries. And the difference in the length of the fights makes a huge difference as well.


MMA is to Boxing, as the National Guard on weekend exercise is to a deployed Navy SEAL unit. Only thing they have in common is that they're both fighting men.

they might of had one or two 350k shows but those would be considered successful shows in boxing! so either way the UFC is doing well and is gonna explode ina serious way! the brok vs randy fight will do 2.4 million ppv buys, while the oscar vs pacquiao fight will only do maybe 900k buys.

I hope not, but to each his own homey. If people choose to be fans of both, mo power to em. I've said many times I respect anybody that fights for a livin, and I don't hate MMA. I simply don't give a **** about it at all and am sick of seein it pop up in NSB when there's anotha forum exclusively set up for it.
