I was just about to say the same thing, but there will always be critics. He showed both offensive and defensive brilliance, and showed something that he had never shown previously, which is the ability to remain focus over the course of the entire fight. He is a major threat.

There was nothing wrong with this fight. I tried to tell little Shawn that, but he put me on ignore. This fight was miles better than Tarver's last yawner against Woods.

        i agree

like all the mexican fans who like to watch the crash dummies in the lower divisions murder eachother...I rather see a winky wright chess match than watch the diazs and marquezs bash eachother to death

That was a legit knockdown despite Tarver's protest, Dawson's punch caused the slip that sent Tarver down! I don't need brutal knockouts to enjoy a fight, Dawson looked amazing and I enjoyed a good BOXING display from Dawson and at least Tarver didn't quit and kept coming despite not troubling Dwason!

i knew some dumb idiot had to make it a racial thing. you are no better than the same posters saying Dawson was boring. Marquez a crash dummy? you just showed your ass. take a look at the p4p list. how many of the 5 mexicans on that list would you actually consider a "crash dummy"? remember, you call yourself a boxing fan. answer wisely.

            *edit*

nevermind, forgot you were a floyd loving, black elitist alt. go back to your room.

Twice, Eric Harding knocked him down in their first fight, although that was more of Tarver needing a rest and taking a knee more than anything, there was a right hook involved though.

Tell him to sit down on a punch. Pit pat shots arent exciting no matter how many you throw.

I guess. Dawson put on a masterful performance as I predicted. I actually thought he would get knocked out. But to his credit the old man hung in there. Chad is a beast and physically his last two fights he's looked amazing.

And his chin has seemed to improve.

The fight wasn't that excitin to me, although it had its moments. It was fun enough for me watchin Tarver lose tho, so I ain't complainin.
