Dawson looked every bit as good as Tarver looked bad. This fight was an equally strong statement for both fighters. Tarver is so done. There aren't even any possible matchups for him left. Dawson is on the way up but has no one to challenge really. Anyway, I was rooting for Dawson so I'm glad he won.

So you're saying he's the king already? I don't get it. If there's no one to fight it's because he's on top right, and these other guys are fake champions on the way out. I know for a fact Calzaghe wants nothing with Chad. Pavlik is another deal though and that could be an exciting match in the future. Roy Jones will probably fight Chad after he loses to Slappy.

Chad has no real opposition in the light heavys right now. You're right. Calzaghe wouldn't even want to entertain the idea of fighting Dawson. He's not even sure if he wants to fight Pavlik at MW, why would he consider Dawson at LH? Calzaghe isn't a true light heavy to begin with and should stay at SMW.

Do you really think Pavlik want to fight the champ at TWO divisions above him? Sure they could technically fight at a catchweight of SMW but Dawsons just too damn big, strong, and fast for him.

And yeah Dawson could fight Roy, but why would Roy want that tough of a matchup at his age? If Calzaghe is expected to outwork Roy, then Dawson will do the same, only with actual power and punches that he sits down on.

I've said for years that Dawson is Calzaghe's biggest challenge out there. Not sure he brings any money though, even now.

I'd still pick Calzaghe though, but it'd be much closer than any Pavlik contest.

However....DAWSON IS A PAPER CHAMP.
He doesnt fight like a man he fights like he is scared of something plus he has a glass jaw.
Now that Dawson has all the title it sets everthing up nicely for a real FIGHTER to take them.
