Chad Dawson Looks Awesome In Trumping Tarver

Dawson put on a good display of boxing which is what i expected out of him.

Im no Dawson fan but I will give him credit.
However....DAWSON IS A PAPER CHAMP.
He doesnt fight like a man he fights like he is scared of something plus he has a glass jaw.
Now that Dawson has all the title it sets everthing up nicely for a real FIGHTER to take them.

Calling him a paper champ really isnt giving him credit. He wasnt scared but instead mindful of Tarver's power while fighting a very smart fight - hit and not get hit. His workrate was key, but I am curious, who do you see as a REAL fighter that would defeat him?

Dawson looked like a star last night. How can you call a fighter who beat the acknowledged best fighter in the division a paper champ? What evidence do you have that he has a glass jaw? Has he suffered a one-punch KO that you know of? How did Dawson fight like he was scared last night? Looked to me like he was BOXING. You know, like what the sport is named? Boxing? That's why it's not called BRAWLING?

If anybody knows why Tarver, a career long counter-puncher, decides to lead the whole fight I'd love to see an explanation for THAT one.

actually, i heard the commentators saying the same thing during the fight.....idk, and i dont think any1 but tarver and his team would be able to answer that.......in my opinion tho, even tho he says he doesn't watch tape, tarver watched the glen johnson fight, and probably figured if he pressured chad like johnson did, it would give him problems........

problem was chad did a very good job of counter punching in this fight, and when he threw he was so fast tarver wasn't able to counter punch. so if you ask me, whether he was lead or counter (as was his usual style) dawson's speed was the biggest factor. tarver couldn't "return fire," and really only go off when dawson decided to stand there and let him throw.

i think dawson learned a lot from the johnson fight, to just use his tools.....he's such a crowd pleaser that he decided to try to brawl with glen johnson, and thats not his game....he got in trouble for it too. i'd like to see hm fight johnson again, just to shut every1 up. the result would be much like this one, b/c in that fight the same was pretty much happening until chad decided to brawl with the guy. in a rematch, he'd just stick to his guns, he's just too fast, as long as he fights johnson the same way he fought tarver tonight, he probably busts johnson up in the fight...........

matter of fact....if he uses his boxing ability like he did here tonight, in a rematch with glen johnson, he beats him WORSE than he beats tarver for the somple fact johnson's defense is not as good as tarver.....johnson is a lot more hittable. chad fights like this, he'll frustrate glen jonhson, and bust him up BAD. chad might win the rematch by TKO.........

i'd advise all the old guys (hopkins, roy, calzaghe, johnson, tarver) to leave this kid alone........
