ok ok let me understand your logic
we all know that tito isnt in the same league as oscar right?
he proved that by outboxing tito about 8 or 9 rounds

now oscar wasnt in hopkins league even tho he managed to win some rounds?
doenst matter if it was only becuz of lack of hopkins will
the point it he wasnt able to get all the rounds

but tito who managed to get almost no rounds against hopkins
he did get staggered, stunned, wobbled, rocked, shaken up, and just a brutal ass whoopen

and some how Tito is in Hopkins league

    soooooooooooo............
DLH > Tito and DLH < Hopkins
    yet some how
    Hopkins = Tito
    and DLH < hopkins

i do agree that oscar is not as good as hopkins
but to say tito deserves a rematch
    gimme a break

No, you give us a break !

Hopkins-Tito at least looked like a real fight. Not a love-tap session that ended with something SLIGHTLY harder than a love tap.

Where do you get this bull**** that Tito isn't in Oscar's league ?

Look at their common opponents....Tito beat all of them better, & most of them first (Campas, Carr, Vargas)!

Whoa....Oscar wouldn't come off of his bike for 8, then hopped on his MOTORCYCLE for the last 4...what domination !
Yeah, that's only dominance to an Oscar nutlicker, or a Mexican.
****in' Mexicans would MOCK a brother or a P.R. if they fought like the ***** Oscar was that night.

Tito, unlike Oscar, can PUNCH at 154-160.
Unlike Oscar, when he fought Hopkins, Tito was a THREAT.

You're ignoring every single factor that defeats your argument, most notably age and recent history. By your logic, since Buster Douglas beat up Tyson 15 years ago, and Danny Williams beat him a few months ago, then Buster deserves to fight Danny.

Oscar proved nothing except that he has no punching power at middleweight (as he proved so many times recently in even lighter divisions). He has lost his last three fights and is getting on in years. The fact that he "won" a few rounds against Hopkins doesn't mean a thing. Landing 2 punches against a fighter who throws 1 at you does not mean you dominated the round.

Tito is younger and tore up Mayorga, a flawed though respected fighter. His fight against Hopkins was an upset loss, unlike DLH's loss. Most fighters who get upset get a rematch. Witness Tyson-Holyfield, witness Lewis-Rachman, witness DLH-Mosley, witness Ali-Liston II, witness Liston-Patterson II, witness Tunney-Dempsey II, etc, etc, etc.

It was one-sided...I'm not gonna argue. But Tito hung in, & his power made him a threat deep into the fight.

            Here's the real difference...

Trinidad is an exciting power-puncher....who'll fight until he can't fight anymore.

Oscar has repeatedly turned in overly tactical, tentative performances in some of his bggest fights.
            He's actually BORING.

Not to mention...he went out like a COWARD against Hopkins.

Tito took his punishment like a real man & fighter.

            Oscar BAILED....took his 30 million, & YOUR 60 bucks.

Did Oscar beat Hopkins ? No

I am a fight fan, more than a fan of any fighter.
Excitement is more important to me than who wins & who loses, when it comes to POTENTIAL matches.

If Trinidad fights Hopkins again.....he will at least be a threat until the fight is over. That, I know.
He could be getting schooled the whole way...but everyone will still sit on the edge of their seats thinking he's one punch away from making a difference.

I don't think Oscar or Tito should be viewed, in terms of acheivement/greatness, any differently from each other.
But, Trinidad is by far the more compelling & entertaining fighter.

Don't kid yourself...if Oscar had fought as hard as Tito did against Hopkins he would have been beaten down even earlier, and the fight would have been an even bigger blowout than the Trinidad one.

Cautionary tactics are only useful if you have a way to WIN the fight after all your dancing around. Otherwise you just look like a fool.

If Tito did SOMEHOW beat Hopkins.....all the Oscar fans would simultaneously vomit.

That's why you all don't want Hopkins-Trinidad II.

Man, Hopkins is my favourite fighter but I wouldn't mind seeing him lose to Tito just to see that happen !
