This fight does get hard to call as it gets closer. People can say Pavlik didn't hold his weight when he fought JT again but Pav is only what 26. he's not even peaked yet. He can only get better. I think his weight will have nothing to do with it. If HOP wins its because Hop is just Hop. I think Pav will be at his best, and I think his youth and power will get him the win.

I think he will do so by landing more clean and harder punches, while Hop lands nice counters and maybe knocking down Pav (off balance). But in the end I think the young guy will just outwork the old man. Much love to Hop and Pav.

On another note, lets hear it for the Calzaghe fans cheering for the old man to win. You guys are awesome lol... better hope and prey Kelly doesn't win.

Yea, its funny... it was expected.

But it would be a nightmare! Either way it will be a great fight and a fight that IMO must happen if Pav defeats Hop. (I think he will)

I would love to see Pav destroy Kessler (a nasty KO) and then face Calzaghe. But we all know Joe Calzaghe is in a hurry to retire after Jones. So that wont happen. Pav must skip Kessler (or AA) and go right after Joe before he runs out of the game.

Taylor had zero defense and was able to stay upright in Pavlik vs. Taylor II. Pavlik is looking for a KO. Mistake. Tarver, Trinidad were looking for KOs. Mistake. Pavlik is a KO artist not a boxer.. if he doesnt KO Hopkins then what? He loses.

Pavlik better land those brutal right hand body shots or he will fall right into Hopkins trap. I want Pavlik to shut B-Hop down once and for all but I think Hopkins is going to pull off the biggest upset of the year. Pavlik showed me in the Taylor rematch that he does not wear the extra weight well.

If Pavlik does'nt get the KO he still wins an easy decision. Sorry, just my opinion. Hopkins cannot fight competatively with KP for 12 rounds at this stage. If he was the same age as when he was fighting Tito, he would have a shot. With his current workrate he does'nt stand a chance. Hopkins does not hit hard enough to stop KP and does not have the workrate to win a decision. I have no idea why he took this fight. That def. shows how much fight/heart the old dog has for sure though.
