Escobedo landed 101 threw 570

so the fight could of give either way its not like there is huge differnce in punches landed i would have given it to Escobedo on ring generalshipif the truth be known those 83 punches were counted as landed shots the same way Calzaghe were counted against Hopkins cause i cant remember De Leon landing that many punches

I actually just got done watchin the Ponce vs Lopez fight earlier last night cause I missed it. I just didn't think De Leon was ever really that good so I skipped the fight in general. I mean he can ****, but he was ****in on some smaller guys. I think him and that Celestino(sp) cat, I think they're one in the same. Not exactly solid fighters physically, but they can throw stingers. Thats about it. Ponce hits hard enough with the little skill he has to get him where he was once at, but he wasn't all that impressive in his move up. He never really looked like he had a chin and his punch placement seemed amatuerish. Which is ultimately why it was fun to see him KO his way to the top. lol He was like a Mayorga for the bantams.

he's a good solid fighter. title holder, but not elite!

Eduardo Escobedo came out looking like he could ****, he had that Nacho Berinstein stance down solid. But either he was nervous as hell, or he was scared of Ponce, cause that fight was ****in eye cancer. That **** was garbage. Ponce with his inability to set shots up, and Eduardo's ability to move effectively made that fight horrible. I wouldn't be surprised if people thought Eduardo won, I mean the whole fight didn't have that much action.

But I remember that fight and thinkin how much Eduardo looked like Marquez. I wonder if he actually has some potential and that De Leon fight was just a case of nerves, or if he Eduardo is just another Jorge Solis type.
