Cotto doesn't come close to Trinidad's legend because of his personality and his life style. In Newark, NJ Trinidad fans would always crowd the streets of Newark after a Trinidad win or loss. Thats 100% true. i live in Newark and when Tito beat Oscar, the streets of Newark went crazy. When Tito was fighting Jones, bars were full, was packed in North Newark aka mini Puerto Rico. People love Cotto here but with Trinidad he was the life.

Tito got beat by DLH, just about everyone in boxing knows it except nuthugging PRs. Make a poll and I bet you majority would put DLH won that fight.
