I've had the opportunity to meet both Cotto and Lopez. Cotto is very serious, and his treatment can be considered a bit dry. Lopez on the other hand is very out going and willing to take pics and sign autographs, similar to "Tito". PR has embraced Lopez because of his humbleness and carisma. PR respects Cotto for his boxing abilities.

I do see Juanma becoming a superstar if they take him at the right pace. They should try to get him in there with some experienced fighters before putting him in there with the "capo's" of the division.

hopefully he has as much, or more success than Tito did.....but unlike Tito, hopefully he can admit defeat if it does happen.

The reason why tito doesnt like cotto cuz around 4-5 yrs ago. he kept on getting that hes the next trinidad. all he said was im not trinidad, gomez, benitez. Im miguel cotto and i want to write my own history.

and Tito being the fake ignorant hick that he is took it up the ass.
and since then holds a grudge.

Tito is jealous of cotto. cuz 1.tito never filled the full 20,000 plus at MSG

2.Everytime Tito stepped up in class wheather it was DLH, Bhop or winky or Jones a fight where it was pretty even going in HE LOST! In front of 18,000 at MSG BHOP took him to skool. DLh was taking him to school in the 1st 8 rounds. winky just put the cherry on top of the cake.

cotto fought mosley a fight where alot of ppl were picking shane, cotto beat him.

cotto's lost but he was actually in the fight. it was entertaining. fight of the yr candidate.

all of tito's losses he got dominated not even in the fight.

plus cotto has a military backround where smiling is a weakness as well as laughing. thats why hes soo serious alot of the time and he dont trust alot of ppl.

JuanMa is heading in the direction of greatness but i hope hes doesnt think about being the next tito. Write your own history and be yourself not wat other ppl want u to be

i think juanma will easily wipe out the 122's and 6's .Israel might last the longest but will get his ass beat in the meanwhile . Gamboa will sleep in 3 . IMO.

Trindad the Legend, Cotto the Hero, JuamMa Lopez the hero trying to become a Legend

Cotto doesn't come close to Trinidad's legend because of his personality and his life style. In Newark, NJ Trinidad fans would always crowd the streets of Newark after a Trinidad win or loss. Never seen anything close to that when it comes to Cotto. Don't know Juanma Lopez, but what from what I hear he's a peoples champ. Don't think there will ever be another Trinidad.

Lopez IS alot more like Tito than Cotto is.
All 3 are Great in there own right!
I can see Juanma becoming more popular than Cotto but not with me, tho im a huge fan of his and have been championing him for a good while now.

Trinidad hasnt said anything out of line to or about Cotto but u get the impression he dont like em and i bet Zab Judah was telling the truth when he said Tito was backing him against Miguel! Personally i think theres a bit of jealousy on top of a personality clash

he should prove it by beating the named superstar in the superbantam division.

i don't know how will he fare against israel, rafa or penalosa.
theres only one way to find out!!!
