Yeah, a little friendly ****-talking at fight-time is all good! I remember my homie and I doing some serious sparring in the gym back in the day before a big fight saying **** like "this is what Chávez is gonna do to your Puerto Rican chump!" Or **** coming back from him the other way around...it was all good fun! It's sad at some of the messed up crap talked by fans on both sides on forums like this though...taking **** too far.

Like I said, when it's the elite fighters of each country facing each other, it's a fantastic and even rivalry! It's only obvious that people are gonna take full advantage of the rivalry and put together a lot of mismatches between Puerto Rican elites and not-so-elite Mexicans...and vice versa. It's all about money.

Going back to one of your earlier posts though, do Puerto Ricans really view the Trinidad win over Delahoya as revenge for Sánchez-Gómez???
