Why does Pavlik have a better resume? Other then Taylor(who I think drew with kessler in the second fight), who has he beat? Miranda? Lockett? Mckart?

I'll go with Pavlik just on the brutality of his style. He can likely hurt Kessler. Nevertheless this is a good matchup.

pavlik beats kessler in the U.S. or any other country for a title or not...

pavlik is too big...too strong...too tough...

kessler would have a heck of a time trying to bust pavlik's chin...

pavlik by late stoppage or UD.

Pavlik is tougher than Kessler....but he is NOT bigger and stronger

Kessler is the strongest fighter at 168

Pavlik is a middleweight....The jury is still out on how strong and powerful he will be at 168.

You make it seem like Kessler can't even hurt Pavlik

Kessler can definitely hurt Pavlik or possibly stop him....Taylor almost KO'd Pavlik in round 2 of their fight...Kessler hits harder than Taylor and is more accurate with his punches.

I think Kessler wins a UD over Pavlik at 168

Totally agree with that. I mean Pavlik is a Middleweight. So how could people be predicting Kessler to be stopped? Considering hes fought the biggest punchers in the division already.

In terms of attacking combinations, Kessler is superior to Pavlik. Pavlik is limited to the one, two. Rarely throws body combinations or uppercuts. Whereas Kessler has every punch in his arsenal.

Also Kessler can fight well off the backfoot. From what i have seen of Kelly, i don't know if he can.

Im deciding whether its an early TKO or Mid rounds TKO.

Either way i think Kessler gets Pavlik out of there between the 6th and the 8th rounds after dropping him several times.

I also agree on the analysis that Taylor could beat Kessler. Styles make fights. And Taylor definetely has the all round game, to frustrate a technician like Kessler.

Let Taylor/Kessler fight it out first. Kelly is a front runner for landing a fight with Joe Calzaghe! Why on God's good Earth would he want to "step down" and fight Mikkel Kessler? Now come on, I know what people are thinking. Here's my theory - Beat Hopkins. Kessler takes on Taylor and Pavlik takes on AA. Let them BOTH get a tune-up, Kessler after the Taylor fight and Kelly at his first at 168 - - - THEN, let those two have it out. If JC doesn't pan out for Kelly, which it probably won't, he should unify with AA before anything else. Once that fight is in the books, he will undoubtably move up to 168. Bottom line, I wanna see Taylor/Kessler, now that Taylor is moving up, before I even consider Kessler/Pavlik. I voted Pavlik for the shear fact of workrate, heart and power should those two fight tomorrow.

Are you forgetting what weight Hop/Pav are fighting at? That fight will be a good indicator at the weight jump and how Kelly's body will react. Should he perform at or above what he does at MW - 'nuff said.
