    That's what I saw too.

But Gamboa obviously has lots of talent. I think when he tightens up his defense a bit he'll do fine. He has a better chin than Amir Khan.

I agree, if he could stop that, he will be good champ.

How come I've watched both Khan and Gamboa rise up, yet I've only really been impressed by Gamboa? You always got the feeling of impending doom when you watch Khan.

That's the feeling you should be getting with Gamboa. He's been cautiously matched but he goes down in every fight. The guy he fought was not a tough veteran like Martinez and Angulo fought. That kind of guy would knock Gamboa out.

Notice Max and Lampley are not riding him anymore? They will pull him from the headlines, because the Khan-job is inevitable at this point.

He hits harder than Amir. He's being brought through the ranks much quicker than Khan, too. Much, much quicker. He's already faced better comp than Khan in his short pro career. There is no real comparison between the two.

i dunno Jury's still out on my book regarding Gamboa

the talent's obviously there .. as vs Darling Jiminez Gam was on the money and fought great ... but even in that fight Gamboa did get dropped

yes he was an Olympic champ

but he's only 12-0 and at the moment could potentially go the rout of a hype job

                  That I'll grant.

At first (for like thirty seconds when I saw him) I though he was like a young Shane Mosley. But that's nonsense at after a full minute it became clear he couldn't carry a young Mosley's jockstrap.

Down in every fight? This was his 3rd time. Once was against Darling Jiminez.. In his 10th pro fight. That's not careful matchmaking.

Khan is much younger than Gamboa. You can't compare Cubans' progressions with others.
