Like I said Vanes right now is still a green unproven prospect, he looked good at times in his last fight but Medina is not a very good gauge since he too was an unproven fighter. We probably won't know how good Vanes is for sometime since Charles Howe looks like another bum.

So right now with the way both careers have gone Vanes would be over matched against Angulo.
    on paper... perhaps...

but if you look at PURE boxing skills and natural talent, I still see Vanes beating Angulo today.

cuz Tsurkan was doin just fine... needed no saving whatsoever...

Lampley and the bunch were awful on HBO makin it sound like Angulo was beatin on an infant with no arms...

angulo was dominating him no doubt, but it was never never as bad as they made it sound... when has it been so bad for a fighter to show heart and tough it out instead of getting KOd or throwin in the towel.

angulo is no man killer like Tyson, all the BS hype talk was unnecessary by the commentators, especially Lampley.

had you been ringside you would agree... usually you can hear serious blows, i didn't but once or twice.

Well, I can honestly say I was concerned for his health.

I agree, he was getting hit with some crucial shots and he looked defenseless...that fight should have been stopped around the 8th round or so...His punches was not affecting Angulo at all!

not me.. angulo doesnt have power like that... he had high workrate and landed alot of punches, but very few were "health concern" worthy.

plus Tsurkan had Angulo cut near the eye, who knows what could have happened.

I don't know if you could tell being ringside but watching the fight on TV I saw Tsurkan's legs were as steady as spaghetti from the first round. He was unsteady the ENTIRE ****ing fight. Either that or he has ****ty ass footwork or has deformed feet.

Vanes doesn't use his jab enough and I can see Angulo's own jab taking his away. If Vanes doesn't use his jab enough he's just a big target on the inside because he doesn't fight well on the inside and that's where I see Angulo taking the fight.

I'd say there are better ideas for Vanes than to fight Angulo.

The cut was the result of a clash of heads.
