I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to retire undefeated and fight for the bigger money, it's just, as we agreed, the way he is degrading Pav is what's irritating. JC isn't a spring chicken and I think nobody realizes this more than him. If I was Calzaghe, looking at it from a business standpoint, sure, bring on RJJ. I wouldn't want to face Pav right now knowing the youth, hunger, power, etc. etc. is all there and ripe for the taking, I'd want the money. Not saying RJJ, by any means, is a lock for him to win, but it will take a blast from the past, IMO, for Roy to get it done. (God almighty am I hoping though - GO ROY! lol) I just feel, for all he and his father are saying, should they both win unanimously and convincingly to the boxing public, he should at least give him his props and consider it if nothing else. I'd take... my hands are shot - I can't compete at this level anymore - or simply - I just don't want to because I want my record intact. ALL those I can take and may not like, but I can take them. It's this constant downgrade after looking to fight him I hate and, well, that's what sells fights I guess.

Pavlik/Abraham 09 - THIS fight on the other hand, HAS to happen!

Some people are going to be disappointed when Calz retires after Jones. Calz sounding like he is hyping up a fight against Pav, yet he is more or less being an ass and degrading pavlik. Basically Calz talks so much **** but sounds like he won't have the balls to back it up is what most people are going to get out of this. All in all, who the hell did Jeff Lacy or Mikkel Kessler to beat to make them good enough to fight Calzaghe but not Pavlik. Alll in all, who the hell did Peter freaking Manfredo fight to get a fight with Calz... Calz looking dumb

how can he duck a fighter who doesnt fight in his weight class?

wait for pavlik to fight hopkins and IF he wins, then you can talk.

untill then its a non starter.

          Joe should have fought Pavlik.

He might be suffering a crisis of confidence, but Pavlik is the type of guy Calz would light up.
