    *He cant Ko Margorito
*Pick his spots and stay the hell of the ropes
    *Clinch
*Prepare yourself for 15 rounds (I know its a 12 rounds bout but training for more rounds will probably get you ready for a 12 round war)
*Dont try to trade with Margorito
*Last but not least FIGHT SMART!

Agree. Don't take what the other fighter is giving you. LOL

It'll be a repeat knockout again unless Cotto can do something about his stamina. He wanted to protect his chin, but he got tired. Somebody needs to inject him with some nitric oxide.

Cotto needs better stamina, stop leaning in so much. Margarito already misses 70 plus % of the punches he throws no need to lean in and help him land a punch that probably wouldn't or at least land flush. Cotto was wrong about saying it was impossible to hit Margarito to the body. Cotto needs to learn how to counter better when Margarito misses those wild and looping shots he throws. That is where the openings are since Cotto can't create openings capitalize off of the openings Margartio gives you.

Then again all of that **** is easier said than done.

Honestly, I was amazed at how much damage Cotto was able to take. Sometimes standing toe to toe with the opponent can reduce his power by ALOT. I think Cotto should work on a Clottey type defense and break him apart next time.

I agree...All of those face shots he was hitting him with...He could have switched it up! A couple to the head and target some to the body..Not just all facial shots.

Good post. Crazy strategy for anybody but Marg, but styles make fights. It ain't like Cotto forgot to go to the body, Marg just wouldn't let him. As many uppercuts and body blows as he took anyway, he likely woulda got KTFO earlier had he committed to doin body work.

Already hyping the fight hey? Is boxing so poor we need to hype this up so further away? Cotto lost because he was the smaller man. Simple and pure. Cotto was seen as "the Robocop" or the insanely gay "men breaker" because he was fighting men he could handle with his strength. Margarito is not one of those men and is stronger than Cotto. So in normal circumstances the bigger guy wins. Exceptions are: ATG quality fighters (smaller guy wins) or Grandpas (big guy loses). Margarito is already 30 or something. He can't be waiting for Cotto forever.

Agreed! Cotto did what he was supposed to do but the fact is that Margarito is a terminator and no matter how hard Cotto landed on Margarito, he just smied and ran back at Cotto attacking his body. U know in his head he was like WTF how am i supposed to win when my best shots he takes them like they arent ****! i would have hated to be Cotto when he realized that he was in trouble!
