truth is, i don't remeber who he fought(to much weed and drank), but i know he got up and won that fight easy.

I really can't see Cotto wanting the rematch at all. I don't think that Cotto feels he can beat Marg deep down because the fight that I saw, Cotto was brilliant, Cotto was fighting one of the best fights I ever saw him fight and still nothing he could do phazed Margarito. I think there's a possibility that a 2nd fight would end even worse for Cotto because now Marg would not be cautious in the beginning now he would know that Cotto cannot hurt him and he would have that psychological advantage and he would stalk Cotto from the onset and it would end around the 5th/6th round.

I think so too, Margarito took it slow in the 1st fight because he knew Cotto would tire on the last rounds. Margarito maybe will start faster this time around. Yet Cotto can still win, but going to his body up close? dont think so..Cotto needs to Outbox Margarito in order to win a rematch because if he tries to trade(which was very brave of him) it will be Cotto vs Margarito 1 all over again. Cotto has all the tools to win a UD over the TJ Tornado but not with a KO....

I agree with that, marg cannot be KO, doesn't matter what the **** they do, it will not happen.....he has to come prepared with a good strategy if he is planning at least doing something.....

            Plain and Simple

Cotto fought probably the best fight of his pro career against Margarito and still lost. If there is a rematch it will be the same result. If Cotto can't go to the body, he'll never slow down the tornado. And if he does he'll get crushed. Same book different chapter.

I think cotto can win a UD but he needs to be more economical with his punches and work on his stamina and defense. cotto fought well, but not good enough.

I think that, in essence, is the biggest problem of them all. In order to win, Cotto will have to be something he's not...and hope Margarito wakes up and decides to do the same.

Being more economical simply means throwing less punches to keep Margarito off him. It's not like Margarito is going to get tired. He'll just throw more. Furthermore, Cotto's stamina is what it is...let's just say, I don't think he's been as prepared as he was for this one and he still wore down. Then again, he wore down a bit against Mosley. That's why he boxed.

Cotto fought the best fight I've ever seen him fight. I don't know if he can do much better.

I pretty much agree with everything. Margarito wasted the first round or so trying to outjab Cotto when he should have just jumped him and overwhelmed him right away. I believe he will take it to Cotto early if there is a rematch and stop Cotto in 8 rounds tops. If Cotto tries to step in and hit him to the body Margarito will counter with huge left uppercuts to his chin. If Cotto tries to go to war in a phone booth type brawl I think Tony stops him even earlier.
