hatton was on top and he aint **** this kinda reminds me of the same thing all the hatton fans made his win over tszyu the best thing to ever happen even though it was a close fight that could of went either way if tszyu didn't quit the margarito fans are making this win to be the best thing ever even though cotto seem to be doing better in the fight.

first two were in favor of Margarito so while, IYO, you think Cotto was doing better two out of the three judges beg to differ and the other had it dead square. Now had Tony been down like 7-3 8-2 THEN I could see your point but he wasnt

Frankly, I think that's just crap and pathetic thinking on Cotto's part.

If Cotto can't penetrate Margarito's torso guard, it's like he's admitting he ain't elite and he ain't good enough to find a way. If he really can't figure it out, then he hasn't got a chance in a rematch and has no business being in the same ring with Tony. A consistent body work is the only way he can probably hurt Tony enough to tame his pressure.

He should learn to counter to the body and correct all the wrong moves he made in that fight. I saw him land a couple of big body shots in the 1st 2 rounds cleanly that had the desired effect and he needs more of those. He can't be head hunting happy and expect to win because he's could suffer a worse beating than the last time.

Marg was obviously covering up his midsection very very well the whole fight, elbows tucked in. Yes, his chin was exposed but I guess he knew he could take his shots so that didn't matter.

i have seen lots of margo's fights, and that body shot you speak of, dropped him, but he got up before the count of 7, and won the fight easy. that was the only time he was knocked down by a body shot.

so please don't make it seem as he is soft in the midsection.

P.S. most fighter go down from liver shots, please act like you know.

That is complete bull****. Sometimes you have to create openings when one is not there. That is what very good to great fighters do. So I guess as of right now and back then Cotto was neither.

Calm down, Sugar Ray. You've probably sparred a few rounds and think you're the Bible of Boxing. Believe me, it is VERY difficult to land certain punches, especially when your opponent has a counter, not to mention counter-counters as well.

Do you remember if it was Gonzalez that got him with the liver shot or was it Soberanes? I think this was back in the mid to late 90's when Margarito was in his late teens.
