nah..... he's just biased against bernard.

my dads favorites , aside from flash elorde of course , were louis , ali , robinson , arguello , duran and leonard.

      explains why he hates bernard.

my dad only likes exciting fighters who entertain with their skills......

I'd say the choice is between Hagler, Monzon and Greb. Hagler being the most recent and most known one will probably get the most votes.

Ray Robinson was great at middleweight but he was the greatest at welterweight.

Stanley Ketchel had an impressive record at middleweight but he declined and died at an early age.

Jake LaMotta is up there with many great wins but his losses keep him out of the top 3.

When Hatton got KO'D by the ring post vs Floyd, it counts as a loss.

When Hopkins got KO'D by Mills Lane vs Robert Allen, it counts as a No Contest.

Hagler and Monzon are the first guys who come to mind when thinking the best middleweight of all time. Robinson was the best p4p of all time but I don't think he was an all time great at middleweight. He was unholy at the lower weights.

joe calzaghe beat brewer , mitchell , reid , sheika , eubank , etc. and people say joe didn't fight anyone before hopkins.

paul williams beats kolle after a close decision with marg and avenging a loss to quintana and he's the next thomas hearns.

joe calzaghe holds his WBO belt for a decade (along with his other belts) and he's overrated.

paul williams lost his 1st title defense of his WBO belt yet he is not overrated.

I wish the old timers were fighting right now against the Pavliks, AA's J taylors. What is your guys take if Monzon fought any of mentioned, because monzon seems like it is a consensus?

I think Hagler is really hands down the greatest MW of all time.

He was more solid, and wrecked better opposition than anyone else.

In fact he shouldn't have lost to Leonard, either.
