Pavlik losing to Williams imo is very unlikely though. Williams is easy to hit and Pavlik has very good power. I feel he would stop him early. If Pavlik was to lose to williams it would be a big upset but really there isn't much risk there because that result is very unlikely.

Anything can happen in boxing to be honest, I would have picked/favoured Pavlik had the fight gone through also. But there is a reason why the bigger guys alway wanted the big chunk of the money...for example oscar asking for 70 to Pacman's 30 even though his 2-3 weight bigger than Pacman.


If pavlik was to lose to hopkins it would do him NO harm because Hopkins has a better name than williams.

I see williams as a low risk - low reward sort of fighter for Pavlik. Pavlik would get no credit for beating him but the chances of him losing is very low, It could happen but the chances are very unlikely.

Hopkins would be the bigger risk because the chances of losing are alot greater against Hopkins than Williams plus if he beat Hopkins it would get more credit especially if he was able to stop Hopkins.

Williams is the man. I like his style, and I like how he's tightened up on his punches and now has a more bad ass mentality in the ring.That coupled with his excellent boxing skills and freakish fundamentals should make him a problem for anyone between those 13lbs. At WW, let's hope Tony's pride ****s with him and a rematch can be made, though by the looks of it that won't happen because Arum won't risk Paul ruining their parade ahead of the Cotto rematch in June. In the meantime Williams should look at Clottey, he indicated interest in the fight. Those 2 guys probably need each other right now
