If Williams can't get fights at 147 or can't get big fights at 147 then maybe he needs to stop crying and move up in weight too. I see the stats as being very real and a good judgement of how big a fighter realy is. If I am fighting a guy at 147 that is 6'2 and can hit me from the other side of the ring then how in the world can I get close enough to land a blow. Better yet I am constantly swinging upwards which takes alot of all my punches. 3 to 4 inches in height is a great advantage now we are talking 6 to 8 inches n height. That is ridiculous. 4 tio 6 inches is a big reach advantage now we are talking 6 to 12 inches that is also ridiculous. Come on you Williams nut hugger stop crying and get real......Lefty
I'm not really a Williams fan. I like 99% of boxers, but he isn't one of my favourites. Someone isn't a nuthugger just because they disagree with you.

Who cares if Pac chose to move up in weight? That doesn't make it a fair fight. Calderon would fight a middleweight if you offered him enough money.

Williams has a height advantage over Clottey and Margarito, but they have advantages over him too. It all evens out, which is why the divisions are based upon weight rather than height or reach.

SIr I never called oyu a nut hugger so for that I apologize if you took my comment personally. I do like Williams but him crying about getting fights at 147 and calling other boxers girl scouts for not wanting to fight him are old and tired. I think he has a tremendous advantage in reach. Cotto has 67 and he has an 82 reach which menas he has more then a foot of reach over the guy. It would be like a WW fighting a MW or even better a heavy weight....Lefty

I'd like to see PW move up to MW and take on Felix Sturm (5' 11'' 1/2) first off. That should be a little teaser tester of what can be expected of him as Sturm can hold his own while not being the divisions elite. THEN, if he makes a big splash and after Pav (6' 2'' 1/2) handles AA (5' 10'')- let them two **** it out. I highly doubt after that fight, anyone will be talking up Paul Williams anymore. Basically, other than thinking he's overrated, I think he belongs at least at MW/SMW possibly even LHW pending on the weight carry over. As I said though, he won't make it out of the MW division.

I would also accept the fight if dlh/pac was at a catchweight of 140.

if williams can make the weight then he should get the fights.

just like to point out the margarito/cotto to de la hoya/pacquiao fights are the same difference in height and reach..both margarito and oscar are about 5'11 with a 73inch reach and cotto and pacquiao are both 5'6-5'7 with a 67 inch reach..so whats the difference here? pacquiao naturally walks around at about 155 so did cotto..so why was that fight not ridiculed like the de la hoya vs pacquiao fight? the only thing pacquiao is lacking at this point is he hasnt fought at welterweight yet, but just because he drains himself to make 130 and 135 doesnt necessarily mean thats the weight class he naturally falls under

listen man, as long as you can make the weight at the weigh-in its fair. if u have a complaint about sum1 sucking weight to be in a lower class its pointless. cuz if it mattered THAT much all fighters would suck weight like paul williams
