    Two short fights ago

Paul Williams got his ass handed to him for 12 rounds by a B rated fighter..

Since then he has fought 2 rounds.. Granted he KO'd the same guy who handed him his ass for 12 rounds..But since we saw nothing of the sort the 1st time.. We can safley assume the 2nd fight was a Fluke until we see a 3rd fight

    And then he KO'd a Nobody.. at 160.. and I mean a ****ING nobody..in 1 round..

Now suddenly Guys like Kelly Pavlik are ducking him???

I am sorry guys.. But Paul Williams is a very beatable fighter..Even the Margarito fight was more about what Margarito DIDN`T do as oppossed to what Williams did..

Paul Williams is nothing more than a Prospect with 1 good win and a humiliating loss on his resume..

Potential?? .. Yes... Already there?? Nope

Then you can say tyhe same about Cotto losing to Margarito. Cotto didn't do this he didn't do that. BOTTOM LINE Williams beat margarito and Margarito is listed as the #1 WW right now. That says alot for this guy Williams. I still think he is a freak and should move up too 154 or 160 but never the less he can make 147 so NOW WHAT?,,,,,Lefty

There is no shame in losing to Carlos Quintanna. He is a good boxer.

          Everyone has an off day.

Really?? Because last time I checked The Ring rankings and others Margarito was at number 1 for beating Cotto....

why couldnt paul have had an off night? why is that not a possibility?

He can obviously box under pressure > Margarito

The fact he didnt have ANY southpaw sparring partners while preparing for the first time is exactly what the problem was... you train and train for a fight, and when you get in there, everything is backwards now... is that pauls fault? absolutely... but it wasnt because Quintana was a better fighter IMO... I dont think paul trained correctly for a south paw fighter, simple as that...

Fact is, he beat margarito, lost to quintana but KOed him in the following fight... i dont think he is hyped, he is what he is... one of the best welterweights out there that can only improve...

No im not one of the will fans that says Pavlik is ducking williams, because I dont believe that at all...

The Kolle fight was just a stay busy fight at a higher weight, nothing more, nothing less... nobody should be hyping that fight, and nobody should be downplaying it... he did in fact move up to weight classes and ko a guy who was 17-1 in the first round... i mean, thats NOT a BAD thing...

I do however think he can beat anyone at ww... and of course it has to do with his size...

at the end of the day, if he weighs in at 147, thats what he weighs in at...

                  ----------------------------------------------

Everyone has an advantage in every fight

If your the taller guy, then use it to your advantage... stay tall, use your jab

If your the short guy, thats your advanatge, stay low, stay out of reach, and work the body.

i'm leaning more towards the opinion that Williams had an off-day when he lost to Quintana than Quintana having an off day when he lost to Williams

i think a rematch should be pretty low on Williams' list of priorities considering the ease he beat Quintana with the second time, but then again, seeing as he can't seem to get a proper fight at the moment, maybe he should go for a 3rd fight with Quintana

yes, Paul Williams is beatable, no one holds him at a Mayweather-like stature anyway, but he is definitely in the mix for that top welterweight position, anyone who says otherwise is wrong, frankly... certain people on here seem to let their dislike for Williams fans taint their view on Williams himself... he doesn't deserve the hate he receives on here at all
