5-10, 5-11 is nothing new in ww division. Nice job of you comparing margarito to a guy 6-3 with a reach bigger than all the current heavyweights . Margarito has constantly fought guys his size or bigger. Santos twice, cintron twice, williams....How many times has pwill fought someone his size or bigger? I'll be waiting for an answer. Yeah he can make the weight but who the **** cares he's still not fighting people his own size and if you can't see that you need to get the paul shades off. Throught history we've had juys that make tremendous jumps to face challenges(floyd, Roy Jones Jr) and in 2008 here we have a guy that should be fightin at 160-168 forcing himself to fight at 147. You look like a fool when you go and challenge a guy pavlik's size, then the next week come trash talk a 5-8 youngster and call him out. And you're a punk to if you think that's ok.

That's ridiculous. Paul Williams is the welterweight champ of the world. Therefore, he's a welter. Just because he CAN go up to middle doesn't mean anything. Why then doesn't Pavlik fight at 147? Because he couldn't make the weight if he cut off two arms. Williams can and, hence, can call out any welter he pleases...regardless of their height.

It's so ridiculous to hear this "picking on smaller men" debate. Just RIDICULOUS. Josh Clottey fought at 154 and often enters the ring wieghing more than Williams. I guess he's picking on smaller fighters too?

It's just an argument uninformed people use on here, like it matters. If Williams was killing himself to make weight, that would be one thing. He's not - in fact, he's usually at 145. People should just drop that argument.

I agree with everyone else! If you're a Champion you're not a prospect and there should be no picking fights unless it's for the money. Paul Williams is a welterweight champ 147 and if you call yourself a champ and the best at 47, prove it. There shouldn't be any excuses because of height if they both make weight. If you're the best and there are 3 champs to see who's the best make the fights. You can't have a promoter saying I have the champion of the world and he won't even fight another champion. YOu don't make the comment of bringing Berto along and he's the champion. And the thing is Paul William is probably his biggest money fight out there right now. What was the height difference between Ray and Hearns? Ray didn't make excuses. Being the best means that you can beat anybody at your weight class with any style or size as long as they're your weight. What does he pray that every one at 47 is Berto's height? GTF outta here.
