I don't think that's true. Most contracts get a guarantee percentage, as well as a payment for showing. I don't know if he got paid the rest for showing, but I'm pretty sure there's a guarantee.

Source close to situation have informed us that an offer was made to Don King to have Guzman fight Campbell for free. The terms allow King to keep Guzman's entire purse and give it to Campbell.

According to the offer, King would get options on Guzman's next 3 fights. Furthermore Guzman's camp would have to pay 1 mil. dollars if the Dominican Republic came in over the 135 pound limit.
