I'd favor him against every other WW out there, but it's tough to beat all of them without stumbling. For Williams, it'd actually be a lot harder just to get the WW's to fight him. I don't see it happening.

This is your opinion and I respect that. But why come into a Williams thread and waste your time typing that for.

because im just oblivious to why an average fighter like Williams is being built up to something he is'nt he has shown me nothing except how overrated he was after his defeat to Quintana

Berto, right now, Is not a true Champ IMO. He is a title holder, when he beats someone Top 10, then I will consider him a real champ. If that makes sense. So, to me, it depends on who Berto fights now.

He has to beat Margarito, obviously, Clottey. Cotto and Berto we have to wait and see what they do next IMO.

Also, I think Williams could do it.

I think he can. He ALREADY beat Marg and can do it again, he beat Quintana, he can beat Cintron, Clottey, Cotto...... Will all these fights happen? NO. Boxing doesnt work that way, when do you ever see a fighter fight ALL of the top fighters in their division? Correct me if Im wrong by all means.

Boxers can have bad nights, look at Wladimir he lost three times to nobodies got himself back up and dominate the division.

Can this man unify all the belts and beat all the top contenders. Who does he have to beat to unify the division, Cotto Margarito Clottey and Berto.

What should Williams’s next move be? Get the fight with Clottey beat them than Margarito would that be enough.
paul has a great shot to clean out welterweight. that said, he can lose and did lose to quintana the first time.

I doubt any of the top welterweights want to do anything with paul. they will probably wait for paul to move up and avoid him at all costs (see margarito).

A win over Berto would be one of the best of Paul's career, so yes, he's a valid opponent.

Can he clean out the division? It's possible. Will he? No, not in my opinion.
