Paul Williams is going to hurt himself weight-draining to fight smaller men at welterweight.

He need to have the courage to move up in weight, like Guillermo Jones eventually did.

Williams has not problem making 147 and he has said this. Dropping down to 147 from 160 is nothing for this man. He is a freak of nature.

Well that's the thing, most fighters sweat themselves down to a weight division they shouldnt be in so they have a natural advantage but I agree if Williams stays at welter eventually the drain on his body will catch up to him. Not that it will ever happen but I'd support a commission strongly encouraging fighters to compete at their natural weights and not starving themselves so a guy that's a natural middleweight using his size as an advantage over guys that are naturally smaller but fighting in their correct body size weight class.

As he gets into his 30s no way will he find making 147 easy, right now he's young enough the weight loss isn't hurting him visibly but as he gets older he might start seeing the effects of forcing his body to compete in a division his body is telling him he shouldnt like castillo for example.

They need to have weigh-ins the same day as the fight, that would prevent it.
