Abraham has a padded record! Felix Sturm has a better record!

Im looking at Abrahams record. His 2 biggest wins have been over Miranda. Miranda is not a world class fighter, extremely limited. Lacks innovation and decent combinations.

Some interesting things come to mind when looking at Abrahams record and power.

1: A lot of weak chinned fighters have gone 12 with Abraham. Shannon Taylor for one. He has been struggling to beat professional making there debuts here in OZ lately.

Ayala went 12 with Abraham, and was only dropped in the last.

I mean sure its good to say hes awesome. But when you don't rate Miranda, which i don't. I tend to think we may be missing the truth with Abraham.

Felix Sturm has a more proven record.

They both don't have a that good record, but Sturm's worse.
De la Hoya is a welterweight, Sturm got robbed.
Apart from that Sturm beat some top 10-15 guys and was knocked out by Castillejo.

In my opinion Abraham beat a few better top 10-15 guys. He's a puncher, Sturm has knocked out nobody, cuz he's a technical boxer without punch.

That discussion would be better in 1-2 years

sturm is a much better boxer than arthur imo, and yes both are overrated. neither has beaten anyone great, and both have been strap holders for quite some time, yet never stepped up for the real challenges. arthur has good power, but low workrate, and his defense is not nearly as good as many claim. counterpunching is non existant for him. he is tough as hell, and strong, but i'm not sold on him as being the greatest at middle as numerous on this site claim. sturm is overprotected as well, but i think he is a good boxer, but never stepped up to a big challenge either. yeah i know arthur has now called out pavlik, and wants the fight, but he has made like 8 defenses, and never fough elite level fighters that whole time. thats sad. wanna be the best? step up, and take it. don't pad your record, than suddenly ko miranda, and want us to think your the best, and what not. sorry if i am not jumping on the bandwagon, but i need to see the man take on, and beat some great fighters. not a ****ty miranda who arthur struggled in his first fight against, and left alot to be desired. i don't call the 2nd fight his break out fight or the one to make him gr8.

Me to. Shows boxing is more of a business. Froch has a title shot. Yet he hasn't beaten a top 15 fighter.

AA is definately overrated on these boards. I find it funny that some people are quick to jump on Pavlik for having Miranda as one of his best wins but fail to see that AA's wins over Miranda are easily his most notable. He has a lot to prove in my opinion. He is nowhere near the status of say a Mikkel Kessler yet I don't think.

In my opinion he's still underrated. His opponents weren't so bad. Some of them had never lost before, some of them were never knocked down before. Of course he hasn't fought a top guy yet, but please have a look at the middleweight division. There's only Pavlik left. I don't believe in a big upset by Marquez next Saturday. To fight guys like Kessler he has to move up to super-middleweight. Why do you think that Kessler has a better record? He has lost to JC. Who else did he fight?
