    As much crap as Jeff Lacy takes, he is still a guy with just 1 loss against the #2 p4p, and he's never been stopped. Everyone knows he's looked like **** his last few fights, but that still doesn't change the opportunity he offers Jermain.

    If JT wants to electrify his fanbase and send a message to the division, he HAS to stop Lacy. HAS TO. Or at least put him on the mat a few times.

    Even if he puts on a clinic for 12 rounds, I don't think that proves anything without a KO to cap it off.

    We all know JT is the superior boxer. We all know he can win a decision. Nobody is going to tune into this fight hoping to see these two hug each other for 36 minutes.

    What we need to see is something we haven't seen from Jermain since 2005 - a stoppage. A stoppage against a guy who has never been stopped before.

    Lacy is the perfect opportunity for this, because as he showed in his last fight against Mendoza, his chin is there for the taking. He's begging to get KTFO.

    Like I said, if Jermain can lay even half as much leather on Lacy's face as Calzaghe did, I think Lacy goes down. I think Jermain knows this, and it's probably why he took the fight - he knows his career needs a knockout win.

        Everyone is overlooking the big equalizer Lacy has up his sleeve, his tackling ability.

        I heard through the g****vine he is going to be a 1st round draft pick for the NFL

            No worries, specifically for this fight Jermain's training on stiff-arm techniques with buddy Darren McFadden:

              And in the post-fight interview admitted he would do whatever he had to do in order to win.

              He'd better bring a gun against Taylor. He obviously couldn't get it through airport security on his way to Manchester.

                What a ****** thing to say.

                By the same logic, if Bruce Seldon can get a heavyweight title in the 90s, then any good fighter would clear out a division that featured Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson.

                  Are those SMW fighters good as those HW fighters you just named?

                  Kessler = Tyson?????
                  Froch = Holyfield????
                  Lewis = Lacy??

                    Dstew, would HBO be likely to show Kessler vs Taylor if it happened in America? From what I hear, Calzaghe-Kessler got lower ratings than expected.

                    It seems that Taylor will have to take a pay cut to fight someone like Froch or Inkin, and probably against Bute as well.

                      But that's not what you said, is it?

                      You said that Taylor could clear out a division because Mundine was a belt holder. I pointed out the ******ity of such logic.

                      If you wanted to say something else, you should've done so.
