The punchstats are an illustration of how Mosley dictated the real pace of the fight........wearing Mayorga down who wasn't on his level.
Did you score it, if so what did you have it going into the last round?

I will rewatch it when i get chance.

I know CompuBox misses punches but it wasn't exactly like there were a lot of jabs or inside fighting in this one.
Double the punches landed and triple the connect rate.
Mayorga landed two punches in round 4. Two punches.

He was throwing a lot but it just wasn't effective enough for me to give him some rounds that others gave to him.
Mosley was landing his right at will but he also gave away some rounds later by not throwing anything.

I think Mayorga's clinching and mauling tactics were effective, he was using his 10 lb weight advantage very well, but his punching was not. Mosley was tired but he was able to pull it off.

I though Mayorga was up but it was a messy fight and a bad stream so it could've gone either way.

Plenty of people had Mayorga up, so it is what it is. Many ringside boxing writers and SKY Sports had him up. It was close but Mayorga was ahead. Mayorga won rounds 1-3. Mosley took 4-7. Mayorga won rounds 8-10. Round 11 was even. Mosley didnt do much and was doing nothing more than being defensive. The rounds he actully threw and landed he won. Mosley also lead with his head and hit Mayorga on the hip many times. Peope have a mental block when it comes to Mayorga, yes it was a messy fight. But sombody had to win those rounds and Mayorga did by being the more active fighter.

I thought Mayorga clearly won rounds 1-3 and 8
Shane clearly won rounds 4-6 and 11.
Rounds 7, 9 and 10 were close but I think Shane did a bit better.
IMO, Shane was ahead by 7-4 or 6-5.

Neither guy dominated. Neither guy really threw a lot of punches. It was a tough one scorin wise.

8 of the rounds were fairly clear. 1-3 to Mayorga, 4-6 Mosley, and 12 to Mosley (even before the KD). Either 8 or 9 was also clearly Mayorga, even the HBO team gave it to him. The rest were a complete mess, I tended to find myself favoring Mayorga in many of them because Mosley was doing literally nothing.
