You don't have to be serious all the time, you know, and last time I checked a major part of the enjoyment of being a boxing fan was exercising ones own judgement as to which fighter you think is better than another, but...we all know who Kessler has beaten...I believe that in fairness Tarver has a strong resume, might be better than Kessler's, might not, depending on lots of things, but I think an equally pertinent question would be who have Virgil Hill and Reggie Johnson beat to prove they are better than Kessler?

no because unless he was lying he said he wanted to prove himself to America silly......

I mean Joe said it. Again that doesn't really mean anything. But going off what he has said by expressing his feelings about coming to America and yes of course getting paid, he ultimately wanted recognition. Haven't you heard him and his dad say that a million times????

Pride? I have pride in boxing. I dont base anything on the location of fighters. Even if I was from Germany, Africa or even Pluto. I would know America is the place to be for boxing and I would know if I wanted to make a statement and prove myself. It would be by coming to America and taking on the world.

Also to add. I may be American and from florida (born and raised), but I have spent some odd years out of the country.

With all due respect, you can't make a serious statement such as Mikkel Kessler being rated higher than all of those guys and expect someone to joke in return. Unless what YOU said was a joke to begin with. Get me?

You didn't answer the question because you know Kessler's resume pales in comparison to those three - and a lot more on the list I won't bother to delve into. But let's break it down.

Antonio Tarver's resume makes Kessler's look like crap. This is a three-time light heavyweight champ who didn't pick up paper titles--maybe Woods but certainly not ROY JONES...GLEN JOHNSON...and...need I say more? Ok. Montell Griffin? Clinton Woods? Eric Harding? And Harding he didn't even HAVE to fight as he was already the mandatory for Jones' crown yet he signed to fight him again just to prove he was the best.

Virgil Hill? If you have to ask then you aren't a fan. Seriously.

And Reggie Johnson? Let's just say I'd rate a close win over Steve Collins to one over Librado Andrade. Or Anthony Mundine.

OK, this time you defeat me, since I would be reduced to boxrec to debate the relative merits of Virgil Hill and Reggie Johnson's careers. I do rate Kessler highly though and view him as a better fighter than either of the two men I saw losing to Roy Jones Jr, although Kessler of course has not had to endure such a trial. Tarver's resume is better than Kessler's too, I agree.

So all in all, you should be happy with your evenings work! Now please, no more questions!

tell me, what has Kessler done to be considered even a 'solid' fighter? Most of the people he beat I didn't even know who they were untill all the Welsh fans started mentioning them everyday.

Kessler is extremely overated because he was undefeated at the time he fought zagh..undefeated seems to be the only thing you clowns look at in terms of greatness. To me, if someone is undefeated, then they are simply untested.

The greatest fighters always have a few losses too because they don't duck anybody.

Unlike my erstwhile enemy IMDAZED, who does actually know about boxing, you are an A-grade imbecile and reveal it in every single post you ever make. As you did here.

Calzaghe might face the winner of the Dawson/Tarver match.
