What was the worst robbery you've ever seen?

Fighters will often protest a ref's decision to stop the fight even when the fighter has been knocked silly but in Taylor's case, he was a physically beaten man with a glazed over look in his eyes and the most he could manage was a perplexed expression on his face.
He was wobbly but he knew what was going on, he knew immediately when Steele stopped the fight which means he knew what was going on, he didn't answer Steele's question because Lou Duva had jumped up onto the apron causing Taylor to look over at him when Steele was asking his question. I blame Duva more than Steele for the stoppage.
I personally view it as a clear KO for chavez but I can understand how some people may view the decision as being controversial, however, it's far from a robbery as some people have referred to it. Steele was just doing his job IMHO and I agree that most of the criticism should be directed at Douva not only for jumping in but also for advising Taylor to go after Chavez in the final round, because its up to the fighter (not the ref) to protect his lead.Comment

I don't actually score fights, but... I followed along with Bobby Czyz and keep a tally in my head how much I would differ from him. I think 114-112 for Casamayor, because I gave one round to Casamayor that he gave to Freitas. I thought it was pretty clear that Freitas swept the first part and Casamayor swept the last half.
I just don't know how you have Freitas winning 6 of the rounds (which would get him a win with the 2 point deductions).Comment

And God Damnit... can we not turn this into a Chavez-Taylor thread? This has been discussed a trillion times, and it is really the issue that I have seen have the least amount of opinions changed.
Everyone has their opinion, and it is not changing on this issue, guaranteed.
Whoever said it, don't say it again, and whoever disagrees, save it for another thread. PLEASE.Comment

Same here, my recollection of the fight is that Freitas won the early rounds, got tired, and lost the later rounds.I don't actually score fights, but... I normally think of this fight when people act as if prime Casa was a defensive genius, because IMO he didn't come into the fight until Freitas' stamina became an issue.
I don't think I scored it, but I remember thinking that Casamayor didn't do well early, and Freitas looked like crap towards the end. To be honest I did think at the time that AF did just about enough, but I may be remembering it wrong.
I think Corrales must've paid a lot of attention to this fight and learned from it, because against Freitas he allowed him to win the early rounds and use up energy, knowing that AF would end up tired, and he able to take over and win.Comment

Man, you've got a great memory bank!! How could I forget that?Lamar Parks vs. Miguel Angel Gonzalez
Bull**** utter Bull****
It ruined Lamar Parks Phycolligy Sp? And his handlers attacked Gonzalezs handlers, watch the fight he won hands down. Blame Suliman, Don King but know it destroyed and ruined Lamar Parks who deserved a hell of all lot better and if you box someones ears off and still get robbed, sometimes you just gotta say what the ****.Comment

Corrales didn't allow Freitas to win the early rounds or use up his energy - Freitas did both with his ridiculously ****** strategy. Corrales did what he always did (save for the second Casamayor bout), which was stalk aggressively. But Freitas fought Corrales much different than he fought Casamayor. In fact, that was one of the dumbest strategies I think I've ever witnessed in the ring.Same here, my recollection of the fight is that Freitas won the early rounds, got tired, and lost the later rounds.

The worst robbery will forever be Pernell Whitaker vs JLR. JLR who didn't win ONE round and wasn't even competitive...got the win. How crazy is that?! No robbery can match that.Comment
