cotto didn't lose this fight cause of stamina.that's a lie.he lost because of his ****ty defense against that ropes.body shots and uppercuts to the nose can make it hard to breathe.plus, he fell in love with too much boxing.not enough meat and potatoes.marga was all meat and potatoes.or carne asada and papas.if he remembers who he is, he'll be back.
I've FINALLY gotten over Cotto losing to Margarito. Reason why he lost:

Not dis*****g some of the points that some of you have made but one observation that stood out from that bout was Cotto’s continued success at landing to the head…
IMO, Cotto being able to repeatedly tag Margarito’s noggin made him completely abandon any type of body attack... conversely, Margarito stayed disciplined and maintained HIS gameplan and that was to work the body…
It doesn’t matter if Cotto had Floyd, Pryor, McCullogh or even Margarito’s stamina combined…taking punishment to the body from a big welter like the TJ Tornado will wear ANY fighter down..
I’m not saying that Cotto should have gone into a phone-booth-body-shot-battle but there should have been a more conscious effort in trying to sap some energy from his opponent…around the 7th or 8th round, the damage was evident…Tony’s chin held up while Cotto’s ribs didntComment

Thank you!!! all the Cotto-lovers keep saying the same bull**** over and over "Oh Cotto lost the fight because of stamina" that is the most absurd and ***** excuse I've heard in my life. At least there's a few people who also admit and points out the fact that Tony went to Cotto's body for the first 6 rounds before starting to aim up high knowing Cotto would wear down, he chopped him up like a ****ing tree.
As much as I hate to say it, I think a rematch will go the same way.Comment

sorry man... I just can't take people saying he has some superhuman strentgh....
When he doesn't have any Ko's against any top names before the 6th rounds i believe.
Tomato cans and bums don't count. And even some of those guys were taken him to the cards.
Damn you Margonads are startin to make me dislike margs even though I like him and bet on him often.
Gotta get out of these crazy threads they start. I can see its the fans that make other fans hate certain fighters.Comment

You are all fools.
Cotto lost because his nose magically broke in between rounds and he started getting tired because he didn't dedicate enough time doing road work because he was overlooking Marg at a DLH show down.
duhhhhhhComment

By the way Clottey and Williams, 2 top Welters who had never been stopped...your hatred for Margarito is quite apparent, just drop the act and admit it.Comment

Yeah, Cotto lost cause he got tired. But Margarito made him get there. Constant pressure, making Cotto fight all the time, always having to punch, and move. Attacking Cottos body, and just generally attacking non-stop. He just broke him down.
As much as I hate to say it, I think a rematch will go the same way.Comment
