Double Standards? Haye needs a fight before Klitschko? But Pavlik Doesn't before Joe?

woah. Joe doesnt have more power than Pav. his speed consists of bullrushing you with slapping combinations where thats why he wins on slapping workrate. his stamina is good cause those slaps have nothing behing them. good chin? yeah but not a more complete fighter, sorry

If that were Joes only attributes he wouldnt have got where he is now, anyone with a half decent chin would walk through them. Joes more complete than Pav because he can change his style through a fight to exploit his opponents weaknesses. Boxing is the art of hitting your opponent whilst not getting hit back, say what you want about his slaps, but the fact remains that he is one of the best around today at that fundamental skill.

Now the general consensus here on this board is that David Haye needs a fight at HW before getting a shot at the title against Wladimir Klitschko. Its also important to note that the HW division, is a close 2nd, for the worst division in boxing only behind LMW. (Minimumweight is strong, just not many fans).

Yet Kelly Pavlik doesn't need a fight to get a shot at Calzaghe? And SMW, in contrast, is a lot stronger then HW. It is deep with talent, compared to HW and the MW divisions. The strength of the SMW division means, Pavlik should have more reasons to have a fight before getting a shot at the champ in Calzaghe?

Also when comparing David Haye and Pavlik? With their resume? Its rather similar. Pavlik has beat the top dog twice! And Haye has beaten 2 of the top dogs at cruiser?

Now correct me if im wrong. I admit i get way to opinonated at times. But this is just double standards!

Calzaghe does NOT have more power then Kelly Pavlik...Calzaghe may have the better work rate but that is due to his slapping NO OFFENSE.

Last I heard Haye was chasing down the awesome Ray Mercer or Monte Barrett before he wants Klitschko. Haye's team was trying to get 53 year old Mercer ranked with the WBO as Haye's contract stipulates his opponent must be ranked with WBO.

I also remember the Jones fans claiming that Calzaghe shouldve moved up to Light Heavy and "beat some contenders" when he was chasing a fight with Roy.

One thing I don't understand is why Haye isn't fighting Klitschko already? They are both champs for the WBO, and once Haye vacates for for the HW he should become the his manditory. I mean that little ***** named Guzman got his manditory in Campbell when moving up.
