he fought at 140 as an amateur , we trained in the same gym , i m sure as a pro he campained at 147.

tzyu beat him IMO . tzyu isnt that small , he enters the ring at 147 sometimes more , tzyu would have enjoyed the defensive holes of quartey , i see tzyu by ud or late TKO.

Ike fought early in his career at 140 and was a monster, he was a monster at 147. Ike was the first guy that made Oscar scared enough to stipulate a rematch clause in the contract for their fight. Oscar to this day says that other then Hopkins, Ike was the only other guy to hurt him.

Ike destroyed Phillips in 3 rounds in 1996, Phillips threw Tszyu a beating in 1997 for Kostya's only loss. If they met then, Ike would have won hands down. In terms of meeting now, Ike will be a middleweight so no chance of that happening.

rick , styles make fights. phillips got koed by ike , but the 3 rounds were a WAR , and phillips dominated ike sometimes , even stunned him.
ike enjoys a battle , but tzyu is smart enough to use some defense .
since the phillips fight , he his more defensive , and remember he was a defensive wizard in the amateurs .

i really like kostya in that fight , plus i saw ike taste canvas in the gym against so so opposition .

I think Ike beat De La Hoya, there is no doubt in my mind that if Ike and Tszyu met then, Ike would have won. Tszyu has tasted the canvas against so-so competition himself. I think Tszyu was very green when he fought Phillips, he changed his gameplan once he lost that fight.

I think Ike would have won as well. Tszyu's defense is a little open.

Ike got dropped and hurt by Lopez but the shots he went down from would have probably dropped everyone plus Lopez was huge.

the Ike who fought Oscar was not as good as the Ike who beat Espana & Phillips.
Not as hungry, not as confident, & basically one-handed.
