If Ike ever fought at 140, it was long before he was anything special.

At 147.....Ike would have busted Tszyu up.

So you think Tszyu could have beaten Ike at 140?

yeah.....& I think Corrales would ice Tszyu at 135.

Ike was nothing at 140....It's gotta happen at 147.

Ike was scary at Welter. High work-rate, stiff jab, & solid left hook. I thought Ike beat De La Hoya in their fight.

I agree that Ike, for a time, was fierce at 147. But, he was nothing at 140.

Oscar has been in a lot of close decisions and won some he lost and lost some he won, but the Quartey fight is not in either of these categories. The fight was on the table in the 12 and he absolutely beat the **** out of Ike, imagine the situation was reversed, Quartey knocks Oscar down twice and in the final round scores the biggest round of the fight for either guy. People would never let Oscar forget that, Knicksman Quartey didn't win that fight, he fought great and actually had Oscar seriously hurt in the sixth, but he was completely beaten down in the 12th and when that happpens in a fight of that magnitude there is no way in hell you can go with Quartey.

Tszyu is the better fighter p4p all time, but I think Ike was just too big for him.

                Ike TKO 9

the last round made the fight for DLH...had he not knocked down Ike I would have given the fight to Quartey.

As for Quartey and Tszyu...Ike would beat Tszyu rather easily at 147. Ike could have been a much better fighter if he had trained a bit harder, liked boxing more, and fought more often. His layoffs bit him in the ass IMO.

You make some good points. The fight could've went either way. I had Quartey winning by 1 round. The one thing I didn't like about the scoring was I think a judge had 116-112 for De La Hoya. What fight was he watching???
