Haye should fight John Ruiz. It will give him a chance to figure out how to deal with the huggy bear style of boxing. Ruiz is good at it, Klitschko is even better.

If hey steps into the ring and fights the same way he has in the past, he'll be lucky to make it to the closing of the second round. I've said this before, in posts on this topic, but I'll spell it out again:

He fights low, in a crouch.

      He carries a low guard.

He is hittable (because of the above facts)

He doesn't work enough behind his jab

He waits to counter, rather than trying to get off first (big no-no against Klitschko)

He's a tad chinny...not horribly so, maybe, but if he gets caught by a freight train right hand from Wlad (and he will, because of the above outlined reasons) he'll be lucky to even remember the fight, much less make the count.

There are other problems, but these are the most glaring.

On the bright side, he's fairly young, has obvious talent, size, power, speed and reach, and if he were to work on these issues for several months in the gym, he could then cause serious troubles for Wlad. But if he doesn't, he's just another victim patiently awaiting his trip to the ER after his turn with Wlad.

wladimir is a MASTER at not getting hit cleanly, i think people disregard how excellent his defense really is. you can say wlad moves like a robot if you want, but he is methodical, consistant, hard to hit, and if you want to land something on him, usually you are going to be eating alot of shots trying to get inside. reach advantage wont really make too big of a difference cause haye is shorter.

everything wladimir has is better than hayes, maybe haye is a little faster, but to be honest if he even is, its not by much, not enough to make a difference i dont think. wlad has more power in both his right and left, has a MUCH better jab, is a much smarter boxer IMO, has much more experience than haye, and he is great at sticking to his game plan. he is a very mature fighter both inside and outside of the ring, and i just dont think the same thing can be said about haye.

haye is by no means a bad fighter, but i do think hes a ***** for calling out mercer and chapman when he is claiming to stir up a storm in the heavyweight division.

im looking for this fight to be exciting, and have a great build up, and im not counting haye out, i think he will lose but an upset is possible, but the only people that are saying haye is 100% definitely going to win are the haters, and if haye loses they will just talk about how ****ty haye was and give wlad no credit.

            Excellent post.

The only part I disagree with is the part above, I think Haye has a considerable speed advantage over Wlad. He is a very fast cruiserweight, and unless he loses a lot of speed moving up he will be very fast there. But, I still think it will be negligble once Haye gets caught...

But apart from that, Wlad is much better all around.

it took wladimir 6 rounds to grow a pair of balls agaisnt the light hitting chris byrd, he never riskt to fight aggersive againt ibragimov. So there is no way wladimir is gonna KO Haye under 3 rounds. If this was the wladimir before the sanders fight he would probabaly knock hayes head of but not anymore,he is gonna try to do what he has done in his last 6 fights and Haye is gonna make him pay for it.

thanks for the green k btw

                  No problem.

As for growing balls....again, if Haye fights like he does now, it won't matter. He'll get caught with the 3rd or 4th 1-2 combo Klitchko throws, and will play meet'n'greet with the canvas.

Even Ibragimov was better, defensively, than Haye. Seriously, the guy will get KO'd if he doesn't fix his problems. Believe me, I'm no hater, nothing like that. I'm simply good at analyzing a pair of fighters and predicting an outcome with a high (very high) rate of success, and if Haye and Klitchko met tomorrow, I'd be perfectly happy putting every penny I could lay my hands upon on Klitchko by KO, under 6 rounds. I could probably get decent odds with that call, too, considering Wlads last several fights, maybe even 2/1.

                    I agree,

If Haye fought Klitschko anytime soon, he would get sparked out. He is too open, Wlads jab would limit his offense, then a left hook or right hand and it's over really. We need to see Haye at heavyweight before really saying, but unless Haye fixes the problems you pointed out he will lose.

And that's from a Haye fan...

Why does Haye being smaller make him more powerful? How small was Tommy Hearns? How Small was Tito Trinidad at Welterweight?
