That fight taught him alot about himself and the hard game that is Pro Boxing
Yup, the loss helped Haye a lot. He has even said that getting stopped by Thompson early in his career is one of the best things that could have happened. He used to go out and throw the kitchen sink in the first few rounds, and would get tired. Now he fights at a more measuered pace, and has done a lot better

Im not sure what he will be able to achive at heavy but i REALLY hope he can be a true force, he has the speed skill and power, i just hope the added weight helps his chin. Its a worry.
But whatever happens with Haye u know its gonna be exciting 1 way or another and he has already won the unified Cruiser weight title so he can always say that he was the champ

I will always root for Haye, I like him a lot. The fact he doesn't hide his weak chin, but actually markets that is awesome, and pretty funny. With him it's do or die, someone is getting Knocked Out. Out of his career so far, he has gone the distance 1 time. And anyone who has seen that knows Haye wasn't looking for the KO that night.

Yup, he learned from it, thats what a fighter has to do from defeat.

Remember Haye was pretty much written off here after that fight. I PRAY Cotto can bounce back as well, and i think he will

            Me too!

One thing Haye did have for him at that time, was that it was early in his career. Only his 11th fight or so, with Cotto he has been right up in the P4P lists, the best Welter in the world, the man who Mayweather ran away from (I don't think it's true, but even so) and all that. And then he lost, so he has more to re build.

            WAR COTTO!

To me that fight was pointless coz he wasnt fighting at any sort of pace but it probably did him good mentally to go the full course. He could have stopped that guy im sure!

Booth counts Hayes punches and tells him in between rounds so he knows he is within what he has done in the gym, perhaps he had a bit of mental trouble with stamina if u know what i mean? Like Oscar said he did

Yea that is pretty weird, I dunno why they do that...

Same here, he fough at such a slow pace. He actually did hurt the guy at one point when he threw some power shots if I remember correctly. But after the fight he even admitted he wanted to do the 12 rounds, and not KO him.

It always happens on this forum. One loss and a guy is overrated/exposed/finished. You gotta see whta these guys do after they suffer a loss before you just up and toss em in the garbage bin.
