I think Boxing needs to make the gloves 6 ounce for 147 and below and 8 ounce for anything over.

the bigger gloves cause more brain trauma and these little guys dont need to be wearing 10 ounce gloves to be honest.

1 punch kos actually save a fighter the brain trauma then getting a beating for 12 rounds.
    good point man

MMA is for a different kind of person than boxing, just like different people watch basketball than golf.

There's a great fall of boxing coming up, with lots of good matchups starting next weekend, and continuing until Dec. 13.
tunney you ve hit the nail on the head. thankyou

Have you looked in the right areas?

Art of War, Cage Rage, M-1, DREAM, Shooto, WVR, FX1, Cage Warriors, DEEP, TKO and others have been making a killing.

Over the years i have learned to love MMA and i all ways watch the big shows IE UFC,Pride etc etc I watch more MMa than most !
But pugilisticly speaking MMA is light years behind boxing, and will never have the pure theater of a top boxing match !
Anybody that watched Cotto v Margarito this year will vote for that!
So for me Boxing will all ways be the DADDY of Combat pugilistic Sports!

Actually Zuffa got screwed out of 60 mill for what they thought was a whole company but instead got part of a tape collection. The value of the partial was 17 mill.

The reason PRIDE got sold was because it was found out through raids and people in sticky that DSE had ties to the Yakuza. The Yakuza had to sever ties and the company withered on the vine. Fuji TV severed ties as well when it was found out one of the Yakuza headmen was one of it's staff.

And I'm real cool with that, honestly.

What I'm wanting is a respect in striking philosophy in MMA. Yeah, the striking is going to look like crap, but you never seen boxers handle natural shoots, clinche to submission combos or even clinch to throw combos.

There's a totally different way of thinking about striking in MMA. Just try asking questions and learn.
