MMA is for a different kind of person than boxing, just like different people watch basketball than golf.
There's a great fall of boxing coming up, with lots of good matchups starting next weekend, and continuing until Dec. 13.

But pugilisticly speaking MMA is light years behind boxing, and will never have the pure theater of a top boxing match !
Anybody that watched Cotto v Margarito this year will vote for that!
So for me Boxing will all ways be the DADDY of Combat pugilistic Sports!

The reason PRIDE got sold was because it was found out through raids and people in sticky that DSE had ties to the Yakuza. The Yakuza had to sever ties and the company withered on the vine. Fuji TV severed ties as well when it was found out one of the Yakuza headmen was one of it's staff.

What I'm wanting is a respect in striking philosophy in MMA. Yeah, the striking is going to look like crap, but you never seen boxers handle natural shoots, clinche to submission combos or even clinch to throw combos.
There's a totally different way of thinking about striking in MMA. Just try asking questions and learn.
