So Bernard Hopkins can punch harder than Kelly Pavlik?

Being knocked down like Joe was against Hopkins can happen in any fight, how strong your chin is depends whether the blow hurts you. There is a big difference between losing your balance when caught cold and being hurt to the point of being stopped. If Hopkins shot had KDd Joe through power alone then I would like Pavlik's chances better, but it wasn't, he caught Joe coming in off balance. Pavlik can't time his shots like Hopkins can, so I personally would be surprised if he KDd Joe.

The only time Calzaghe ever got caught with a straight up power shot that was enough to floor him was against Byron Mitchell, a noted puncher who caught Joe **** on the chin. Calzaghe was up straight away and TKOd Mitchell the same round. That is why Calzaghe's chin is good. Against most fighters, Mitchell's blow would have ended it.
